Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough - Community Wardens

At Age UK CAP, we're here to help. We believe No One Should Have No One. We offer practical support and help to make social connections to reduce feelings of isolation and /or loneliness.

Community Warden Services assists older people to continue to live independently at home by providing daily contact (Monday to Friday) and support, either by a personal visit or telephone call, to ensure a sense of security and wellbeing and to help with small practical tasks.

This service can help with:

  • Listening to your concerns and linking you to helpful information and guidance
  • Advice on other local community services
  • Small items of shopping
  • Collecting prescriptions
  • Reading post
  • Making phone calls on your behalf, if requested
  • Watering plants
  • Feeding pets
  • Ensuring your safety and wellbeing

The service is provided in a variety of locations, around the county, with more services in development. Please see Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough website for a full list of locations.

A small weekly charge applies. Two weeks free trial is offered. The service is funded by various local agreements.

* It is important to note that the warden is not a domestic, home help or a carer providing physical care.
