SSEN Energy Advice

We believe that everyone deserves a home which is warm, comfortable and affordable to heat. We are an energy advice charity who give free, impartial advice and support to people living in Berkshire. This includes:

  • Keeping bills affordable with guidance on understanding fuel bills, payment options, and help with switching tariff or supplier.
  • Guidance on lowering your energy bills by making the best use of your heating controls, and how much electricity appliances in the home use.  
  • Practical advice on how to reduce condensation, damp and mould in your home.
  • Income maximisation, including benefits entitlement, Warm Home Discount applications, water company discounts and managing energy debt.
  • How to access funding schemes for energy improvements such as insulation and heating systems, including broken boilers.
  • Signing up to the Priority Services Register, in order to access extra help and support during a power cut.
