A.I.M.S Service for autistic and ADHDer Adults

The AIMS service is not therapy but focused on helping you understand your autism/ADHD and find out ways of managing difficulties you experience in your life linked to your autism/ADHD. AIMS sessions are once a month, 45minutes long and can be held over the phone, face to face or online (your preference).

Our support will focus on post-diagnostic and social skills support that covers specific issues faced by autistic/ADHDer clients on a daily basis, such as: negative social experiences; the need to clarify social experiences; ways of promoting independence; help to develop coping strategies; and act as a sounding board for people that may not have family or friends they feel able to confide in. We will signpost people to advocacy and other appropriate autism-friendly community-based support, based on our teams knowledge and expertise. You will also provide guidance on mainstream services on how they can support autistic/ADHDer people.

We offer individual, face to face, online and telephone support. Our sessions are based in Paignton and we work across Torbay.
