The Pilates method is the art of strength, stretch and control. Joseph H. Pilates developed this unique exercise method program back in the 1920s. It is designed to develop and improve strength, flexibility, posture and coordination.
The underlying principles include breath, concentration, control, centre, precision, and flow.
After an initial warm-up, you will work through selected exercises that have a focus on one or more of the Pilates principles.
We will also practise relaxation techniques at the end of each session which will encompass focusing on the breath, body sensations, thoughts, sounds or emotions.
