Computer Skills for All is a free digital support programme for Shropshire residents, designed to help people build confidence and skills in using computers and the internet. Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to improve your digital know-how, our friendly volunteers offer one-to-one support in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
What we offer:
- Free digital skills tuition at council-funded learning hubs and libraries across Shropshire
- One-to-one support from patient, tech-savvy volunteers
- Access to free online courses and training tools, including Learn My Way and National Careers Service resources
- Limited free devices and internet connectivity for eligible participants
- Support for people with disabilities, health conditions, or learning difficulties
Who can benefit?
- People over 65
- Those living alone
- Anyone on a low income or receiving means-tested benefits
- Unpaid carers and those receiving care
- People with disabilities or health conditions
Our programme is designed to help you feel safer online, stay connected with friends and family, and make everyday tasks easier. Feedback from participants is overwhelmingly positive, with many reporting increased confidence and independence.

(Wem), Barnabas Community Projects (Shrewsbury), Roy Fletcher Centre (Shrewsbury), BizEd Projects (Whitchurch), Enterprise House (Bishops Castle), Enable, Taking Part, and Sight Loss Shropshire.
All support is free of charge.
People most in need can access this free programme, and to be eligible, one or more of the following criteria must apply:
Be over 65 years
Live alone
Be in receipt of a means-tested benefit or on a low income
Provide unpaid care for a friend or family member who can’t manage without your help
Receiving paid or unpaid care
Have a disability or health condition
