Refugee and Migrant Project (RAMP)

Refugee and Migrant Project: RAMP

RAMP is designed to support migrants and asylum seekers who are facing destitution, and as of January 2021, we can now offer Immigration Services and Support in partnership with an OISC registered organisation specialising in Asylum, Immigration and Nationality Law.

How we help:

Information & advice

  • An immigration advisor provides advice and advocacy in asylum, immigration and nationality matters.
  • We help individuals, as well as families, to obtain refugee status, leave to remain, settlement and British citizenship.
  • To ensure that clients’ needs are addressed adequately, we also offer assistance in complex cases involving previous refusals of applications or appeals and immigration enforcement.

Please note: we are only able to work with Newham residents. We cannot provide an interpreter, so if someone is looking for support who doesn't speak English, they will need to bring someone with them to support with this.

Foodbank

Clients are provided with emergency food relief parcels to suit the size of their family. Our team of staff and volunteer advisors will discuss the issues that have brought them to us whilst also offering advice on how to cook healthy, nutritious meals using the food they have received.

Our Food Bank is available for anyone in Newham who:

  • has been affected financially by COVID-19
  • does not have access to essential food items and toiletries
  • does not receive benefits from the government and/or has no access to public funds

The Food Bank is open on Tuesdays and Fridays, 11am - 2pm and takes place in our Main Hall; the entrance can be found on High Street North, Manor Park.
