Growing Wellbeing

About MindFood CIO

MindFood is an Ealing-based charity that supports people with depression, anxiety and stress to improve their wellbeing through gardening, mindfulness and horticulture.

We run our courses from two beautiful green sites in Ealing; Cleveley Crescent near Hanger Lane tube station, and Horsenden Hill near Perivale tube station.

Courses are designed to be a fun balance of learning how to grow a wide range of fruit and vegetables, whilst becoming more mindful of ways to improve our wellbeing.

Growing Wellbeing course

Growing Wellbeing 6 week course
Tuesdays 12-2 (Horsenden) Wednesdays 10.30-12.30 (Cleveley) or Fridays 10.30-12.30 (Horsenden)

Our free 6-session 'Growing Wellbeing' course helps people to tackle stress, anxiety and depression in a natural way, by offering free food-growing courses at two sites in Ealing: our allotments near Hanger Lane tube, and at Horsenden Farm.

The sessions are friendly and informal, so don't worry about sitting in a circle sharing their feelings (- a concern for many! )

The idea is to simply help us to create a veg garden that's a world away from the pressures of city life.

As well as learning lots about gardening, participants will be introduced to the following wellbeing themes:

  • Wk 1 - Wellbeing 5-a-day
  • Wk 2 - Mindfulness
  • Wk 3 - Wellbeing Planning
  • Wk 4 - Brain Food
  • Wk 5 - The Mind as an Ecosystem
  • Wk 6 - Free group visit to Kew Gardens
