Kingsbridge Food Bank

Helping the local Kingsbridge community through times of hardship.

Our Purpose

The object of the Kingsbridge Area Food Bank is the prevention and/or relief of poverty in Kingsbridge and surrounding villages, primarily through the provision of food, hygiene and household products, but also related additional services, assistance and support for those in need.

All prospective clients will need a referral. A referral does not guarantee support will be provided.
Each case is assessed, individually and clients will be contacted by a volunteer if their referral is successful.

It is our expectation that KAFB will support you, for as long as you need it, and you continue to engage with other services who can help your overall situation. It is important that clients communicate with volunteers.

Our referrals come from a range of professionals including, but not exclusively, South Hams District Council, Schools, Health Visitors, Doctor’s, Hospitals, Drug & Alcohol Services and many more.

We have a 24hr support line, and our office is manned Mon - Fri 10am and 4pm.

Clients are not able to visit the office without an appointment and all support packages are delivered to the clients' homes. Deliveries will be arranged for a convenient time and clients are expected to be at home to receive their deliveries.

We do operate a zero-tolerance policy. Any abuse, verbal or physical, (actual or implied) will result in our support being withdrawn - immediately.
