Kingsbridge Food Bank

Helping the local Kingsbridge community through times of hardship.

Our Purpose

The object of the Kingsbridge Area Food Bank is the prevention and/or relief of poverty in Kingsbridge and surrounding villages, primarily through the provision of food, hygiene and household products, but also related additional services, assistance and support for those in need.

Our Beginning
We adopted a constitution in May 2012 and began to distribute food packages in September 2012.
In 2015, the need for food parcels and general help increased.

Our referrals come from a vast range of professional agencies including, but not exclusively, South Hams District Council, Schools, Health Visitors, Doctor’s, Hospitals, Drug & Alcohol Services and many more.

We have a 24hr support line, and our office is manned Mon - Fri 10am and 4pm. Clients are not able to visit the office without an appointment and all support packages are delivered to the clients' homes.
