The Newham Bereavement Service is for adults living in Newham who have experienced grief, loss and bereavement at anytime, either recently or years ago.

We offer the following services:

Bereavement Counselling

Most people will experience bereavement at some time in their life. Everyone reacts to their loss in their own unique way. We offer one-to-one counselling for six weeks with specially trained bereavement counsellors providing you with a safe and confidential space to come to terms with what has happened.

Early Bereavement Group

Our Early Bereavement Service is a counselling service for people that are struggling to cope in immediate aftermath of a loss. We normally see clients for four sessions and then signpost  to either bereavement counselling or local support.

Bereavement Cafe

Our Bereavement Café is for local people to come along and share a cup of tea in the company of others who understand. It’s is a drop-in group for anyone who has experienced bereavement. Losing a loved one can turn your world upside down and make you feel lost – and talking about how you feel can help. Anyone who has experienced the loss of someone close to them, no matter how long ago, is welcome to come along. It is completely free; the atmosphere is very relaxed and informal; and we would love to see you there.
