Campaigning on local and national issues

Many of our staff and volunteers have first-hand experience of caring for someone with a learning disability and/or autism. We understand the importance of being surrounded by others who can empathise, support and provide respite from your caring responsibilities.

Respite activities for carers include; theatre and shopping trips, pamper events, carers coffee mornings and lunches with peer support and emotional and practical support from our Family Liaison Team.

Organised information events aimed at carers cover topical issues such as Wills & Trusts, Benefits and Approaching Adulthood. We always support Carers’ Week and work in partnership with other Carer organisations to ensure the best support for our members.
