Saturday Allotment Project

Sunshine of Hounslow is a local community group serving residents living in the London Borough of Hounslow. Our group was formed in 2012 by a few residents who wanted to support isolated men and women in the community through health and wellbeing activities and advice.

Our allotment project started in 2016-17 in partnership with Heston West Big Local we were able to receive a grant for £16,000 from Tesco's Bags for Help. The initial grant helped us build several raised beds, disabled toilet, fencing and compost. This was followed by several successful grants including Mayor of London (£15,000) to expand our allotment and plant over 50 new trees.

We have been kindly supported by Heston Action Group, Heston West Big Local and London Borough of Hounslow. We are now in process of expanding our space at the allotment and hope to build more raised beds and a community garden.

This project takes place on Saturdays year-round from 12-3 Waye Avenue Cranford TW5 9SJ
