Active Fenland

About Active Fenland

Active Fenland aims to encourage our local community to lead more physically active and healthier lifestyles and create healthy habits for life.

Being physically active on a regular basis has several benefits. From physical health benefits such as reducing the risk of various diseases and long-term conditions such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and some cancers. As well as mental well-being benefits such as boosting our mood, increasing our energy, help us sleep, help reduce stress and increase our self-esteem (Source: NHS Live Well).

Active Fenland has a variety of different community sessions, events, and programmes for a variety of ages. All sessions are welcoming and are designed for beginners, try it outers or returners to physical activity. Sessions are based on having fun, being social and getting active rather than skill, competition, or fitness.
