A Credit Union is a non-profit making financial co-operative, owned and run by its members, that offers an accessible savings facility and low interest loans to its members.

The three main aims of a Credit Union are:

• To encourage its members to save regularly
• To provide loans to members at very low rates of interest
• To provide members with help and support with managing their financial affairs

Loans
Whitehaven, Egremont and District Credit Union will consider loan applications for prudent or provident purposes. Each application is treated with the utmost confidentiality and will be considered on its merits.

Savings
Savings as shares with Whitehaven, Egremont and District Credit Union are a better way to save. With Whitehaven, Egremont and District Credit Union you are not just another customer but a member with a say in the operation of the Credit Union. 

Insurance
Loan Protection Insurance is the insurance cover Whitehaven, Egremont and District Credit Union provides on the lives of its borrowing members. This insurance is provided by the the credit union at no direct cost to the members.
