Sport in Mind - West Berks

Sport in Mind is an independent multi-award winning mental health charity (unaffiliated to Mind and not part of the local Mind network) that was formed in Reading, Berkshire in 2010 with a simple mission:

"To improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems through sport and physical activity"

We deliver physical activity projects in partnership with the amazing NHS in order to aid recovery, promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health, combat social isolation and empower people to move their lives forward in a positive direction.

Our weekly sessions are free and open to anyone over 17 experiencing mental health problems, and we provide everything from the venue, the coach to any equipment that is needed! Our sessions are lots of fun, for all abilities and all about getting as active as people like in a safe supportive environment. Sessions run every week on the same day & time and place and are drop-in sessions, so no need to book and no GP or healthcare professional referral is required!

We offer sessions across West Berkshire and beyond! We have a West Berkshire timetable of every session running each week on our website here, and you can also search for an activity near you.

If you're further afield, we also offer sessions across Berkshire, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey & West Sussex and beyond!
