Homelife

Homelife is Cumberland Council's Home Improvement Agency. We support residents who have a long term health condition or a low household income or savings by providing access to funding, information and signposting for issues relating to home improvements. Support may be provided for work that is required to enable hospital discharge, to support those with dementia to remain at home, to create a safe and warm home environment or to address a need in times of financial crisis. Measures that can be funded (subject to eligibility and funding criteria) include: heating repairs/replacements/servicing, electrical safety measures, provision of key-safes, safety flooring or carpets, one-off cleans, work to prevent water ingress into a property, energy efficiency measures, white goods and small appliances. We are unable to provide direct support with paying energy bills or similar.

If you require support with anything related to your home fixtures and fittings it is worth getting in touch as our funding provision varies. We can often point you in the right direction even if we can't directly help.
