Melbourn Time Bank

Melbourn Timebank is a friendly group of individuals and organisations swapping skills and support in Melbourn and the surrounding area. Members spend time helping each other or sharing hobbies, skills and knowledge and earn time credits in return. Everyone is welcome! If you are interested in finding out about the Timebank then join one of the weekly coffee mornings (see website for details) – everyone is welcome regardless of age or ability and it is a friendly group. If you become a member you share hobbies, skills and knowledge and earn time credits in return. Time credits can be ‘spent’ on yourself or donated to a community pot to help others. Everyone’s time is equal: one hour of help earns one time credit to spend when you need it. For example, an hour spent painting the garden fence of someone living with dementia, or mowing their lawn, is equal to offering a room for a support group to meet in. In addition, members can attend Timebank events and groups – there is an Arts & Crafts group and a Dog Cafe!
