Beckton Globe Library - All Activities for Adults

At Beckton Globe Library, we offer free regular activities with no booking required.

Activities are suitable for adults who can attend independently.

  • Tai Chi - Traditional Tai Chi, Open to all abilities, beginners welcome Monday 11.00 - 1.00 pm No booking required.
  • Knit and Natter - Open to all abilities; bring your project or use our materials. Takes place Mondays 11.00-1.00 pm and Wednesdays 11.00 - 1.00 pm. No booking is required.
  • Zumba Gold - Open to those over 35+, Mondays 2.00 - 2.45 pm. Registration for the activity is required in the first session.
  • Kundalini Yoga - Open to all abilities Mondays 6.00 - 7.00 pm. Registration to the group is required in the first session.
  • Learn My Way - 8 basic lessons in using computers.  Fridays from 2.00 - 3.00 pm. Booking is required for the session.
  • Chair Yoga - Seated yoga for 35+ on Tuesdays from 12.00 - 1.00 pm
  • Forever Young Club is a social club for those 50+. Takes place Wednesdays 10.30 - 1.00 pm. No booking is required.
  • Chair pilates - Open to over age 35+ Wednesdays 11.00 - 12.00 pm
  • Councillor surgery drop-in - takes place Saturdays 11.00-12.00 pm. No booking is required.
  • Walking Basketball - takes place every Saturday 11.00 - 12.00 pm for 35+ Lead by trained coach.. No booking is required. 
  • Friendship Club - A place for adults with autism and learning disabilities to meet (Suitable for adults able to travel independently to the club). Takes place every 2nd Saturday of the month from 2-4 pm in a separate room.
