Welcome Newham Support for Refugees and Asylum Seekers

The Welcome Newham team are pleased to offer the opportunity to refer Newham residents who need support and have been granted their leave to remain in the UK within the last 6 months and those who are currently seeking asylum. 

The areas of support include the following:
• Benefits Advice & Support (Incl. UC/Child Benefits/Housing costs/PIP)
• School support (Admissions, free school meals, uniforms)
• Employability pathways (ie. Jobs Fairs, CV workshops, Volunteering)
• English language assessment referrals (Adult)
• GP registrations
• Emergency support assistance (finance, food referrals & clothing)
• Debt advice and income maximisation
• Family activities and parenting support
• Social connections and community inclusion
• How to rent in the private rented sector
• Provisional housing affordability assessments

To get support, please come along to our one-stop shop which takes place at Stratford Library - 3 The Grove, E15 1EL every Thursday 10am to 2pm.
