Wisbech and District Stroke Club is a welcoming group for stroke survivors and their carers living in Wisbech and Fenland. We meet twice a month at Wisbech Library for leisure, social, and learning activities designed to support recovery and wellbeing.
What to expect:
- Meetings are held in the Crescent Room, upstairs on the 1st floor of Wisbech Library. There is a lift and accessible toilets available.
- New members receive a warm welcome, a seat, and a tea or coffee. You'll be asked to read and agree to the club's membership guidelines.
- Sessions include guest speakers, group discussions, quizzes, and opportunities to connect with others.
- On the 4th Friday of each month, we offer a fitness class led by a personal trainer specializing in exercises for stroke survivors.
- We also organize meals out, theatre trips, and other day events for members.
Who can join? Any stroke survivor and their family or carers in Wisbech and Fenland are welcome. The club currently has about 15 members, a mix of survivors and loved ones.
Cost: There is a small yearly membership fee, which covers all activities and day trips. Once you have paid your membership, sessions are free to attend. Please contact the group for up-to-date cost information.
