The Bowen Technique or Manual Lymphatic Drainage

The Bowen Technique is a gentle hands on therapy working over muscles to stimulate a response to restore the connective tissue (Fascia) to function as it should. This is used to treat people with conditions such as:  Back & neck pain, migraines, sciatica, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, sports injuries, leg length differences, tilted pelvis, joint pain, muscle spasm, hamstring strain, asthma, eczema, hay fever, IBS, whiplash, infant colic & much more.

Manual lymphatic drainage is a type of massage based on the hypothesis that it will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. It is also probably the single biggest player in our immune system, and our first line of defence against disease. For example, the spleen, one of the lymphatic organs, is responsible for keeping our blood “clean” in order to fight off infection. Therefore, making sure that our lymphatics are functioning at an optimum level should be a priority when treating the body as a whole.  Signs of a compromised Lymphatic system:
