Be-a-Friend

What is the service about? Our Be-a-Friend service aims to connect volunteer with older people who live on their own. Our coordinator will personally introduce them, and the volunteer will call or visit regularly, perhaps for a cup of tea, sharing some news, going for a walk, or playing cards - just like a good friend would!

Who can benefit from the service? Our service is tailored for individuals who are over 60 years old, and socially isolated.

How to access the service? For those who wish to refer themselves, as well as friends, family or clients, please contact our volunteer manager Ersilia, available on 07754 111020 or email ersilia@biasbrent.co.uk.

Service access criteria: 60+ years old, socially isolated, living in brent (please note that while it's not a strict requirement, our service will give preference to Irish referrals, and if capacity allows, we will extend our support to others).
