Newham Green Gym Conservation Volunteers East Ham Nature Reserve

Definitely not a gym! We are a small, friendly group of volunteers who meet on Wednesday mornings and the last Saturday of each month 10am-1pm at East Ham Nature Reserve to do various tasks to create and maintain habitats at the nature reserve. Tasks range from scything and raking meadows, clearing ivy off gravestones and cutting back brambles to planting wildflower seeds and bulbs. There are tasks to suit all abilities. We always stop for tea/coffee and biscuits and lots of chat.

Accessible paths all round the reserve, although some tasks require walking over very rough ground.. We only have tools for a small number of people, so can only take one or two new people at a time.

Please turn up in suitable clothes.
