Carers Relief Service is part of the Age UK Kent River's Group and provides flexible, varied, client-led support, social interaction and respite for individuals with Learning Disabilities and older people living in Kent offering the following services:
- A flexible service based on the carer's and / or client's requirements
- Personal Support Workers to work in the community with adults who have a Learning Disability, to relieve the main carer from the pressure of caring
- Encouraging adults with a Learning Disability to make choices about the activities they engage in within their community
- Support for older people at home or within the community at fun social events, classes, the gym, and much more!
Service access criteria:
Available to people aged 18 and over living in the Medway area.
