Community choir
Verified service

We Can Sing - Medway CIC is a multi aged, inclusive community choir. We meet weekly on Thursday evenings, for chatting and singing, and our sessions also include some light exercising and breathing exercises. We take some community singing engagements in the year and that gives an opportunity to work towards various goals and targets as time goes along.

Choir participants include those who have been challenged by death of loved ones, low moods, depression, Dementia, Parkinsons and some other mental health challenges. There are also those who have not had any mental health challenges, and we are all very supportive of each other. Every Thursday evening ends in joy, laughter, singing and sometimes the odd cup of tea or coffee.

In addition to the above, we are also accepting persons who have SEN, but are not classed as severe.

As a referral, your first session is free. If you enjoy the time and want to come back, you'll be given a bonus free session. Sessions thereafter are £6.00 per week. There's no contract and no obligation to pay upfront for a bundle of sessions. Payment is made only when you attend.

If you're looking for an uplifting community and environment to combat loneliness or isolation while getting you moving; if you're willing to make new friends and meet wonderful, warm people, if you're ready to commit to that next step towards improving your mental wellbeing and social circle, come sing with us!
