Community choir
Verified service

Medway Can Sing CIC is a multi ethnic, multi-aged, inclusive community choir that meets weekly on Thursday evenings, for befriending, support and singing. Our sessions include breathing & gentle physical exercises. Cups of tea and coffee are shared over cake & the occasional biscuit. Our rehearsals are usually for community singing engagements throughout the year and the Medway Choir Festival every January. This gives us our goals to work towards as time goes along.

Choir participants include those who have been challenged by death of loved ones, low moods, depression, Dementia, Parkinsons and some other mental health challenges. There are also those who have not had any mental health challenges, and we are all very supportive of each other.

In addition to the above, we are also accepting persons who have SEN, but are not classed as severe.

As a referral, your first session is free. If you enjoy the evening and would like to come again, you'll be given another free session. Sessions thereafter are £6.00 per week. There's no contract and no obligation to pay upfront for a bundle of sessions. Payment is made only when you attend.

We are an uplifting community and environment where you can meet new friends, combat loneliness/isolation. Come meet up with us and let's be "together and well in harmony".
