➔  Calling all music lovers, Y11 & 12!  Beat This CIC is excited to launch the NCS Music Academy, a unique  program designed to ignite your passion for music, develop creative skills, and contribute to your  community.

 The Beat: 

●                  Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4 pm - 7 pm:  Regular weekly sessions packed with music-making,  songwriting, Djing, workshops, and guest speakers, starting april 17th and running until May 16th. (plus  additional school holiday specials)

●                  Holiday Specials:  Deep dive into music during school holidays with extended 10 am - 4 pm sessions.  Dates: April 9th &10th.

●                  Launch Party:  Join us on April 2nd & 3rd  from 10 am - 4 pm for a fun introduction to the program and  meet your fellow music enthusiasts!

 The Groove: 

●                  Community Focus:  Aligned with NCS objectives, the program offers opportunities for:

 ○                            Volunteering:  Organise community music events, share your skills with younger children, and  contribute to Beat This CIC's social mission.

 ○                            Social Mixing:  Connect with young people from diverse backgrounds, fostering friendships and  understanding.

 ○                            Life Skills Development:  Sharpen communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through  collaborative music projects.

 ○                            Employability Boost:  Gain valuable experience in event planning, marketing, blogging, social  media interactions and creative expression, enhancing your CV and future career prospects.

 The Playlist: 

●                  48 Hours of Engagement:  participate in workshops, masterclasses, planning and performances,  gaining exposure to various musical styles and instruments.

●                  Confidence & Wellbeing:  Develop your voice, express yourself creatively, and build resilience in a  supportive and encouraging environment.

●                  World-Ready Skills: Hone your communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, preparing you for   future opportunities and making a positive impact on the world.

●                  Work-Ready Skills:  Gain valuable project management, planning, organisational, and technical skills  applicable to diverse career paths.
