Parent & Baby / Toddler & Preschool Swimming classes

Baby Swim Splash offers Swimming classes for babies 8 weeks to children 4 year old,  as well as a SEN session for children aged 2-4 yrs old.

In our Baby Swim Splash sessions we teach your baby and child to enjoy, be safe and swim freely in the water. It is one of the most fun and rewarding activities you can do together. Our sessions are purposefully designed with a soft and gentle approach. By building trust and letting your baby and child lead the way, a connection is formed naturally in the water.

The benefits are:

* Parent and baby/child bonding * Developing balance and body awareness * Building strength and co-ordination * Growing confidence * Fun and relaxation * Moving freely without restrictions * Teaching water safety * Equipping your baby and child to learn to swim

POOL LOCATION: * OAKHAM C of E Primary School, Burley Road, Oakham, LE15 6GY - pool runs at 33 degrees. Plenty of on-site parking

My name is Carla and I am a fully qualified Birthlight and STA infant aquatics teacher. In 2005, I trained with a swim school in Cambridge that specialise in 'the Birthlight technique'. This technique encourages parents to understand their baby's cues and by taking a soft and gentle approach, babies learn water confidence through the support of the parent and love of the water. Having taught babies to swim over many years, including my own daughter, I have become increasingly aware of the benefits for newborn babies of learning water confidence from a very young age and the parent and baby bonding that results from being in water. Our aim is to empower parents in teaching their children confidence in water safety and aid independent swimming in a safe, friendly and fun environment that best suits the needs of you and your child.
