Our week-long Beyond Barriers programme is open to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. It’s a friendly, low-pressure environment to help you explore the green sector.
Learn from local environment experts, including:
Woodland management- vegetation clearance, cutting back trees and shrubs
DIY and construction - building/maintaining pathways, signage, fencing
Gain qualifications in First Aid, Health & Safety and NPTC Level 2 in Brushcutting and Strimming
Learn skills employers value: punctuality, communication, work ethics, etc.
This course starts early June 2024 and is open to Bolsover residents who are 18+ and unemployed or economically inactive.
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, awarded by Bolsover District Council.
