Mental Health Practitioner Support Network

Mental Health Practitioners Support Network

Thursday 4th July Barnstaple Library 3 – 5pm

This is a free peer support network for those practitioners who have undertaken Mental Health First Aid Training and are engaged with MH support work, to meet and discuss their work or volunteering experiences in a confidential and safe space.

Participants will be asked to bring examples of situations where either they wish to discuss alternative approaches and outcomes or to share good practice and resources. This will be an informal space for peer support.

The session on the 4th July will start with an update from Ali Uzzell Mental Health Trainer on changes to the MH training programme and will be followed by opportunities to discuss case studies of your recent experiences. Participants are encouraged to come with examples we can discuss in groups during the afternoon. We will round up the meeting by sharing any useful resources or examples of good practice and decide how we would like to see the network going forward to get the most out of any future peer network support meetings. This network is not aimed at people experiencing Mental Health issues but those in a professional or voluntary capacity who are supporting others
