EMHIP:Move to heal-Dance Movement Therapy

Dance movement psychotherapy (DMP) is a form of expressive therapy that uses movement and dance to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual. It's based on the belief that the body and mind are interconnected, and that through movement, individuals can explore and address their emotional and psychological issues.

In a typical session, a trained dance movement therapist will guide individuals or groups through various movements and exercises tailored to their needs and goals. Participants are encouraged to express themselves freely through movement, with the therapist facilitating reflection and exploration of the feelings, thoughts, and memories that may arise during the process.
