Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation (Phase IV) is a 12-16 week group based exercise programme for people who have recently experienced a cardiac event e.g. heart attack.

This community based programme is delivered in a safe and controlled environment by fully qualified and experienced cardiac rehabilitation exercise specialists.

The programme is suitable for people who have successfully completed phase iii cardiac rehabilitation in hospital within the last 6 months. Some local schemes may allow people with a previous history of heart disease to enter the programme without completing phase iii if they are 6 months post event. A medical referral from a hospital cardiac rehabilitation department or GP surgery is required.
