We understand that living with chronic lung conditions can be very challenging. That’s why we offer a dedicated pulmonary rehabilitation service that provides clinics and exercise programs to help improve your lung function and reduce breathlessness.
Our team of compassionate specialists are committed to improving the quality of life and care for patients with respiratory diseases such as COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), chronic bronchitis, emphysema, bronchiectasis, and interstitial lung disease.
We are here to support you every step of the way to help you breathe easier and live a more fulfilling life.
We provide:
A pulmonary rehab clinic programme: You would receive twelve supervised exercise sessions along with informal education sessions, that run over six weeks by qualified health professionals. We also demonstrate and advise on how to effectively manage your symptoms to improve your quality of life.
Alternatively, we provide a pulmonary rehab home programme. Here you would receive care to perform unsupervised exercises on your own at home. You will receive written educational information and digital support via the My COPD app or MyAsthma App with follow-up calls.
We hold the following clinics:
Castle Connections, Railway Terrace, Queenborough, ME11 5AY.
Bapchild & Tonge Village Hall – School Lane Bapchild, Conyer, ME9 9NL.
Morning and afternoon classes are available at these venues.
How do I access this service?
You will need a referral to the service by your GP or other healthcare professional. Once the referral has been received, it will be triaged by the Respiratory Team and you will be sent a letter to attend clinic at one of the locations listed above or a phone call to arrange a home visit as appropriate.
