Amba Care Solutions is a Social Enterprise (Not for Profit, Voluntary Organisation) based in the West Midlands, working across the UK, delivering projects which support people to live as well as their circumstances allow. The focus of our work is on the prevention of ill-health and improvement in the health and wellbeing of the people we work with.
Our initiatives enable people to deal with the challenges they face every day in all aspects of their life. We encourage and support people to make positive changes to improve their health, happiness and independence. We develop and deliver evidence based programmes to support people to improve their physical, emotional and mental health, promote wellbeing and address health inequalities by recognising the central role that the wider determinants of health and wellbeing play in shaping health outcomes.
We work with adults aged 18+ including people affected by dementia; living with long term conditions; experiencing physical and/or mental health issues; frail and/or have complex needs; isolated and/or lonely; vulnerable; unpaid carers. Our primary aim is to focus on interventions which have the greatest impact on avoidable illness, health protection and promotion of wellbeing and resilience to prevent or delay the dependence on statutory health and social care services.
We work primarily with individuals and communities from minority and marginalised groups. We define minority group membership as being typically based on differences in observable characteristics or practices, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
