Circulus for Men is a new men’s mental health and well-being service that aims to break down the barriers of stigma and masculinity in a safe, non-judgmental space which fosters empowerment, raise self-esteem and builds community. This has been fostered to answer the growing crisis on men’s health and to offer a network to men after so many services have been oversubscribed, limited or cut around the county. Circulus for Men holds a men’s group called ‘The Circle’ every fortnight from 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm at Glenfield Morrisons Community Room on Station Road, Glenfield.
This is a free session for men, supported by men that aims to provide support through pyscho-educational conversation and active listening underpinned by research-informed strategies to empower men to reduce anxiety, lower stress, increase motivation, and build self-esteem whilst providing a safe space to challenge the pressures of life and masculinity.
The target audience is any man aged 18+, that feels lonely, low, lacking motivation, feeling isolated, anxious, stressed or suffering from low level depression. We are here to help. The Circle uses discussion as its main mechanism. All attendees can share and discuss or simply just be present. We use active listening and the experiences of others to validate our feelings. Discussion and conversation allow those in attendees to empower themselves by vocalising their challenges. Everyone has the platform to be heard.
Anyone interested in attending or finding out more about the service, were more than happy to have a chat to see how we can support you.
