Craft4Smiles C.I.C.

Craft4Smiles is a crafting community whose members have all experienced the benefits of crafting for their own wellbeing, and are working to give others the chance to do the same and join them. They offer a range of live online craft courses for adults aged 18 years and over. Their aim is to improve wellbeing. They work with anyone who wants to improve their wellbeing including those who simply want regular 'creative/mindful' moments,  people with long term conditions/physical and/or mental health problems, people who are experiencing life challenges - short or long term including carers, and people who are isolated or lonely. Craft4Smiles also has expertise in working with people living with dementia and is building a 'suite' of activities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Craft4Smiles offer a range of live online and face-to-face paper and mixed media craft courses for adults aged 18 years and over in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Face-to-face courses are offered in both Cambridge City and Peterborough City Centre:

  • Pop-ups/tasters: 2 hour events - fun, social activities that offer the opportunity to dip into 1 or 2 chosen crafts.
  • Short courses: 2 hours per week for 5 weeks - exploring and developing a specific crafting activity e.g. quilling, memory book, or box and card making.
  • Introduction to Paper Crafting: From Beginner to Advanced Crafter: 2 hours per week, 40 weeks per year for 2 years. This course allows participants to explore more than 20 crafting techniques and to build specialist crafting and transferrable skills, build relationships and re-connect with others. Participants have the opportunity to opt to train to become assistants and then craft tutors for Craft4Smiles and/or to display and sell in the shop and develop their own crafting business. All materials, equipment and instruction are provided free of charge. Offered face-to-face and online - mostly evenings.
