What we do

Peterborough Women’s Aid provides a dedicated and specialist service to women and children affected by domestic abuse.  We aim to relieve the distress and trauma experienced by women and their children by committing to principles of self-help and self-determination.  We empower women to seek advice, support, guidance or refuge to determine their own futures.

We offer:

Safe refuge in Peterborough
Freedom programme via ZOOM 2 x per week
One to one help for women living in Peterborough
Advice for professionals supporting women living in Peterborough
Support groups and online workshops for women to explore the dynamics of abusive relationships
Support groups and online workshops with activities for group and peer support
Confidentiality
Advice on domestic abuse issues
Practical and Emotional Support

Information on housing

Telephone support
A listening ear and safe space to talk

Peterborough Women’s Aid is a full member of the Women’s Aid Federation of England (WAFE), however we are an independent charity serving the Peterborough community.
