e-voucher referral for Peterborough Food Bank

Our foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups working towards stopping hunger in our local area. The need for a foodbank within peterborough was identified bank in 2012 during a tackling poverty workshop. At that time, 1 in 4 children in peterborough were identified as living in poverty. As a result Peterborough fooodbank opened in october to address this issue. Not only do we provide food parcels but offer signposting and a listening ear. We hope to be able to offer more services that our clients need to help lift them out of their crisis

Service access criteria: Foodbanks partner with a wide range of care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers and police to identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher.
