RSPB Ouse Fen

The RSPB Ouse Fen nature reserve is where the River Great Ouse spills into the Fens between Willingham & Earith. A working sand and gravel quarry is being transformed into what will be the biggest reedbed in the UK, teaming with birds and wildlife. Opening times & more info

Visit the website for details of when the reserve is open, how to get there via public transport or by car.

What to expect?

There are plenty of spaces in the car park which is well sign-posted and easy to find.

Maps of walking routes are available on information panels on site – some routes may get muddy so bring wellies if it has been raining. If you are planning a long visit, bring drinks and snacks (and binoculars for bird watching!). There is no visitor centre, cafe, shop or public toilet. Visiting RSPB Ouse Fen is free but donations to the RSPB are welcome.
