Gamlingay Eco Hub

There is always a warm welcome at Gamlingay Eco Hub for anyone dropping in to attend the many groups, activities & events, use the library, visit the Parish Council office, have a cup of tea at the Connect Café, go to the youth club, or access the internet suite and free Wifi. Gamlingay Eco Hub  offers a wide range of events, activities, groups and clubs – it really does have something for everyone! It’s an Eco Hub because it is the most energy efficient community building in the region, and takes its commitment to the environment seriously whilst being a flexible and well-designed space for the community.

Here are just a few of the things on offer at the Eco Hub:

Library, internet suite and Wifi

Anyone can visit the library and use the facilities, but to borrow books you’ll need to be a member of Cambridgeshire Libraries – find out more here.

Activities for older people

Carpet bowls, pilates, new age kurling, and a ‘knit and natter’ group are just a few of the activities aimed at older people at the Hub.

Activities for children and young people

For youngsters there is pre-schoolers’ story-time and cha cha chimps play group, as well as a playground just outside the Hub. For older children there is the Alice Lucas School of Dance and lots of sports clubs/practice sessions. Once a week there is a Youth Club and Café run by a youth development worker.

Connect Café

A weekly get-together over cake and a cuppa – everyone is welcome.

Love Art

An opportunity to explore crafting and creativity in a friendly and supportive group.

Community groups & meetings

The local Gardening Society and History Society meet at the Hub, and so does the Parish Council and local Women’s Institute.
