Invigorate – activities to improve mental health & wellbeing

The ‘Invigorate’ programme provides weekly low cost and free activities specifically for mental health service users and adults wishing to improve their wellbeing through exercise. The Invigorate programme provides a range of free and low-cost activity sessions aiming to help anybody who is experiencing anxiety, depression or other mental ill health. Most of the sessions take place near the city centre. A trainer will be present at all sessions to help encourage you to be physically active and to have a go.

Activities on offer include:
Multi-sport sessions
Tai chi
Yoga for Health
Wellbeing walks
Guided walks around Cambridge University Botanic Garden

Some of the sessions are free to attend and others have a small charge. You are welcome to bring friends, family or support workers with you to any of the activities – they will need to pay the same as you do, if there is a charge. Visit the website for more information about the activities and how to apply for free membership.  Booking is also required at some of the sessions - more information on booking is available through the website.

You can sign up to become a member of the Invigorate programme for free.  Joining means that you will be kept up to date about sessions and new activities as they become available. Joining Invigorate also entitles you to a free BETTER concessionary pay-as-you-play card, which gives you a 50% discount at GLL managed gyms and pools in Cambridge City. You can apply for free membership via the website.
