Volunteer Community Transport Service for residents of the Blackdown Hills

Volunteer drivers transport passengers from their local communities to medical or social appointments with GP Practices, acute or community hospitals, dentists, opticians, footcare or physio specialists as well as to social groups, exercise classes, shopping trips and more.

Enabling people to access services and activities from rural locations with limited public transport means that they can remain independent in their own homes, improve their health and wellbeing and reduce loneliness and isolation.

Note passengers must be able to get in and out of a car independently, volunteers can only offer a steadying arm. Passengers with more limited mobility may be able to utilise our Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle. Wheelchairs are available for all trips as needed or on short term loan.
