Digital Help for the over 50's living in East Devon .

Could you benefit from exploring what the internet has to offer and learn new digital skills?

We understand for some older people using technology can be daunting and it can be difficult to know where to start. However, building your confidence and learning how to use technology can open so many doors from a new way to communicate with family and friends to accessing vital services that are becoming increasingly ‘digital first’.

Through Age UK’s Digital Champion Programme, we aim to tackle digital exclusion by offering free one to one and group sessions with our Digital Champions who will tailor their support to your needs. Perhaps you would like to know how to complete your shopping or banking online, use your gadget (tablet, smartphone, or laptop) more efficiently or just know how to video call your family, our Digital Champions can help.

Our Digital Champions are specially trained to provide digital support to older people and have undergone a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check.

To find out more about the digital support we can provide please call 0333 241 2340 or complete our contact form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Tablet Loan Scheme

If you are a complete beginner and don’t have access to the internet or a tablet, we have access to tablets and SIM cards which we are able to loan to older people through our free tablet loan scheme. Providing the loaned technology will give you the access you need to build on your digital knowledge and practice the skills you learn within our digital champion sessions.

To find out more about our Tablet Loan Scheme please call 0333 241 2340 or complete our contact form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Digital Champion Volunteers

We are currently looking to recruit more Digital Champion volunteers to support the launch or the programme. You don’t need to be a technology whizz just have confidence with basic technology use, enjoy being online, a love for meeting new people and a willingness to help others.
