Young Adult Carers (Caring for Carers)

As part of the ‘Making Carers Count’ project we understand how difficult it can be caring for someone whilst working, attending education and trying to have time for yourself too! But you are not alone, we’re here to support you!

If you’re aged between 18 and 25 and provide unpaid care to a family member, or friend with an illness, disability or addiction, we want to hear from you.

We run a friendly and supportive network which enables Young Adult Carers to socialise with others in a similar situation. We as support coordinators can signpost YAC’s to the help and support they need in all aspects of their caring role.

We provide

• 2 drop in sessions per month, refreshments and snacks provided
• One to one support including carers assessments
• Free monthly activities
• Support with employability and education

All our support and social events are free, but you do need to register with us first (also free!).
