Unpaid carer support

There are 7 million unpaid carers in the UK, 24,500 carers in Newham, looking after family members or friends due to illness, disability, or frailty, and that number is rising. Caring can be rewarding and joyous, but may also feel overwhelming or isolating. Accessing support and information can be a challenge.

We are a charity specifically for carers, and we understand that your needs and situation are as unique as you are. We will provide you with personalised and tailored advice online, by phone, or face to face. We can give you access to support and benefits you might not have been aware of. We can connect you to other carers and help you find time for yourself. Together, we will help you find the support right for your needs.

We offer support for young carers in Newham:

Being a young carer may have a big impact on your life, affecting your health, self-confidence, and social life.

You can struggle to juggle your education and caring, causing stress and pressure, and may sometimes miss school because of your caring role. Your teachers may not know about your caring responsibilities which can make accessing support harder.
You are not alone – we support other young carers like you. We can connect you to other carers, and give you access to lunch clubs, one-to-one sessions, trips out, and more. Get in touch with us to access the help and advice you deserve.
