Therapeutic Horticulture - Growing Out

Growing Out is a therapeutic gardening programme run from Thrive’s gardens in Battersea Park for adults experiencing mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and isolation, or who are recovering from mental ill-health. The activities focus on gardening as a stepping stone to improving health and wellbeing, interacting with others, increasing confidence, trust and motivation, learning new skills and becoming more active in the community. Participants attend a weekly programme for 12-18 months, with the option to complete the Level 1 City & Guilds in Practical Horticulture Skills during their placement.
