Concessionary Leisure Centre Memberships

Please note: ActiveNewham are no longer taking any new memberships. A new operator will be in place from 1st April and more information on concession memberships will be provided at a later date.

You are entitled to a concessionary leisure centre membership if you are:

  • Aged 60+
  • A full time student
  • An asylum seeker

 

Or if you receive:

  • Housing Benefit
  • Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Care Allowance
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Employment Support Allowance
  • Incapacity Benefit
  • Disability Living/Working Allowance
  • Universal Credit
  • War Disablement Pension

 

Or if you have a:

  • Disabled persons railcard
  • Freedom card
  • National entitlement card (for disabled people)

 

Contact your local leisure centre and bring the correct physical proof to access your membership at a discount. 

Service access criteria: Newham resident who receives the benefits or has the cards listed above OR is a full time student OR is 60+ OR is an asylum seeker
