Prisoners of the Pure - Unleashed Community Drama

Unleashed Community Drama present their latest heritage project: a newly devised and written adaptation of the infamous ‘Torquay Wars’ that took place in the 1880s.

This brand new costume drama is the culmination of a series of workshops with Unleashed Community Drama that deals with a particularly interesting episode in Torquay’s Victorian history where the fledgling Salvation Army working among the poor, the addicts and those struggling with alcohol abuse were persecuted by the infamous Skeleton Army and the local authority resulting in the regular imprisonment of those reaching out to those on the fringes of society!
