Ara Gambling Services offer FREE One-to-one counselling and confidential advice and about gambling.

Ara Gambling Service are the National Gambling Treatment Service (NGTS) providers for the whole of the South West of England (including Dorset) and Wales.

Ara offer FREE and confidential advice about gambling, together with FREE one-to-one counselling for people experiencing problems with their own gambling, or that of a family member. We are expanding our range of support with a new relapse prevention project, better early engagement and intervention to reduce harm and increased opportunities for peer support. Our FREE ‘Bet You Can Help’ training programme, aims to reduce harms by raising awareness of gambling harms. The training will provide information of gambling-harms and its wider impacts, as well as equipping staff with the skills to screen, support and signpost individuals experiencing harm.

Our Six To Ten Project supports anyone impacted as the result of another persons gambling. With 12 weeks of FREE one-to-one support, we can help with finances, housing, health, relationships, legal, career and training, and much more.

We deliver the Young People's Gambling Harm Prevention Programme in partnership with Gamcare. We offer FREE workshops for young people aged 10-19 and FREE CPD accredited workshops for the professionals who work with them. Workshops are ideal for school lessons, assemblies, and other youth-focused sessions.
