Housing Advice Service

Our housing team can advise you if your landlord is threatening to repossess your home. Our aim is to prevent you becoming homeless either by negotiating an agreed payment plan with the landlord, suspending possession proceedings at the county court (usually by making an offer the Judge thinks is reasonable) or by supporting you to find alternative accommodation.

If you have left it to the last minute, don't worry. We offer a helpdesk at the county court on possession days (usually Tuesdays in Stoke-on-Trent) where we can advise you right up to the time of the hearing and attend the court with you if necessary.

We also regularly attend eviction hearings too. We offer advice and representation on the following:

Rent & Mortgage arrears

Section 21 possession procedure

Landlord & Tenant issues

Disrepair Homelessness & Allocations

Harassment & Illegal eviction

Relationship breakdown & Housing
