DrugFAM Support

DrugFAM supports people affected by or bereaved from another person’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs, substances, or gambling, including family, friends and colleagues.

It currently does this by delivering the following services:

  • Telephone helpline from 9am to 9pm 7 days a week, 365 days a year – 0300 888 3853
  • Email/Web Contact Form helpline - www.drugfam.co.uk/contact
  • One to one telephone and video sessions
  • Weekly support group meetings
  • Bimonthly and quarterly support group meetings for bereaved
  • Annual National Bereavement Conference in October
  • Education and awareness play and presentations in prisons, community settings and schools (to parents and years 7 to 13)

More than 60% of DrugFAM’s staff and volunteers have lived experience of their own or a loved one’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs, substances or gambling.

Service access criteria: People 18+ years old affected by or bereaved from another person’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs, substances, or gambling, including family, friends and colleagues.
