4 week gentle yoga course for anxiety/depression - July

This activity is part of the Adults Mental Health project in Torbay, commissioned by Torbay Council and supported by Active Devon.   This delivery partner has taken part in Mental Health Awareness Training to support their offer to take referrals from mental health services in Torbay.   This project has been awarded funding in order to offer free sessions on referral to adults who are dealing with mental health challenges. For more information, email hello@activedevon.org” p>This 4 week gentle yoga  course is a comprehensive and evidence-based program for anyone looking to reduce stress, anxiety and/or depression. The course is based at Endeavour House, 228 Union Street, Torquay, TQ2 5QS on Thursdays July 4/11/18/26 at 1 pm - 2 pm.

The course combines specific yoga therapy techniques with research from the fields of psychotherapy and neuroscience to:

Enhance the functioning of the nervous system to improve well-being


Improve self-awareness through the practice of mindfulness


Promote the support of others by eliminating habitual patterns of thought and behaviour.


Both mindfulness and therapeutic yoga are well known to help improve stress, anxiety and depression, this 4 week yoga course will help you access these profound healing properties

All sessions are taught in a compassionate and safe setting. We will only have 8 spaces per course so it will be an intimate group which allows ease and space.
